不规则有源RIS辅助多用户无线通信系统波束赋形设计

摘要:
针对有源可重构智能表面(Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces,RIS)反射单元(Reflecting Elements,REs)数的增多会增加系统额外功耗的问题,通过利用有限的REs在反射表面上不规则排列提供的空间自由度来提高接收信号功率。对所建立的不规则有源RIS辅助多用户系统和速率最大化的非凸问题,提出了基于禁忌搜索(Tabu Search Algorithm,TSA)的自适应搜索算法来求解有源RIS的最优拓扑结构,并利用交替优化和分式规划(Fractional Programming,FP)方法求解其基站的波束成形和有源RIS的反射预编码。仿真结果表明,与传统的REs在反射表面上规则排列的RIS相比,所提设计在系统功率预算为20 dBm时能实现17.8%的和速率提升。

Irregular Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface Assisted Multi-user Wireless Communication Beamforming Design

Abstract:
For the issue of increased system power consumption due to the growing number of reflecting elements(REs)in reconfigurable intelligent surfaces(RIS),the authors aim to enhance received signal power by utilizing the spatial degrees of freedom provided by irregularly arranged REs on the reflecting surface.An adaptive search algorithm based on tabu search algorithm(TSA)is proposed to solve the non-convex problem of maximizing the rate in the established irregular active RIS-assisted multi-user system.The algorithm determines the optimal topology of the active RIS,while beamforming at the base station and reflection precoding of the active RIS are solved using alternating optimization and fractional programming(FP)methods.Simulation results indicate that compared with traditional RIS with regularly arranged REs,the proposed design achieves a 17.8%increase in sum rate when the system power budget is 20 dBm.
