基于非同源抢占的多源传输系统的时效性

摘要:
信息年龄是衡量信息时效性的一个新指标,定义为当前时刻减去刚刚传输成功的数据包的生成时刻,可准确量化每个信源的数据包的新鲜度。为提高多源传输系统的时效性,提出了一种非同源抢占策略,研究了该策略下多源传输系统的平均信息年龄。该多源传输系统由两个独立的信源、一个服务器和一个接收器组成。通过随机混合系统方法显式得到了系统的平均信息年龄,并比较了不同策略下单源的平均信息年龄和两信源总和平均信息年龄的差异。仿真验证了信息年龄随信源1的系统负载的变化规律,结果显示非同源抢占策略在系统总负载较低时具有更好的时效性。

Timeliness of Multi-source Transmission Systems Based on Non-homologous Preemption Strategy

Abstract:
Age of Information(AoI),defined as the current time minus the generation time of the data packet that has just been successfully transmitted,is a new index to measure the timeliness of information,which can accurately quantify the freshness of the data packet of each source.In order to improve the timeliness of a multi-source transmission system,a non-homologous preemption strategy is proposed,and the average AoI of the multi-source transmission system under this strategy is studied.The multi-source transmission system consists of two independent sources,a server,and a receiver.The average AoI of the system is explicitly obtained by the Stochastic Hybrid Systems(SHS) method,and the difference between the average AoI of a single source and the sum average AoI in the system under different strategies are compared.The variation of AoI with the system load of source 1 is verified by simulation,and the results show that the non-homologous source preemption strategy is better in timeliness when the total system load is low.
