Abstract:
The performance of adaptive coding and modulation(ACM) and variable coding and modulation(VCM) is analyzed and compared for evaluating Ka-band remote sensing satellite data receiving system transmission.According to ITU standards, channel attenuation synthesis time-series on earth-space paths between satellite and different ground stations are created.Based on sufficient track long-term statistics, the transmission throughput and link availability are simulated,as well as the performance comparison of two feedback delay loops(ground-station-loop and network-control-center-loop).The simulation shows that by principle of transmission throughput maximization,VCM transmission throughput is no more than 3〖WT《Times New Roman》〗%〖WTBZ〗 inferior to ACM with appropriate link threshold margin configuration and automatic repeat request(ARQ);by principle of link availability maximization,VCM transmission throughput is apparently inferior to ACM;the performance of ground-station-loop feedback and network-control-center-loop feedback is close.
