| For multiple beam forming on TDRSS SMA(S-band Multiple Access) return link, an
open-loop digita
l beam forming(DBF) algorithm and three close-loop adaptive digital beam formin
g alg

rithms are analysed. The feasibility of open-loop DBF algorithm and close-loop a
daptive beamforming algorithm is verified by te
sts. The test results show that the combined open-loop and adaptive beam formin
