SDL结构特点及其同步性能分析

摘要:
在POS(Packet over SDH)设计实现中通常采用PPP/HDLC进行数据封装,这种方式通过标志以及字节填充实现对数据帧的定界,会遇到易受攻击和不适用于STM-16以上的高速链路处理等问题。针对HDLC的缺点,IETF建议了一种新的数据链路封装协议--SDL(Simple Data Link),它具有实现复杂度低、更适合于高速链路处理等优点。本文介绍了SDL的结构特点,并深入分析了SDL的同步性能。

Characteristics and Synchronous Performance of SDL

Abstract:
Generally, packet over SDH (POS) protocol stack uses high-level data link control (HDLC) framing mechanism, which delineates protocol data units (PDUs) by means of a special bit pattern (flag) and byte stuffing operation. Nevertheless, this mechanism tends to be attacked and not suitable for higher-speed link over STM-16. Simple Data Link (SDL), a novel and effective protocol for framing asynchronous variable/fixed length packets, is recommended by IETF. In this paper, the characteristics of SDL are introduced and its synchronous performance is evaluated particularly.
