| This paper provides a derivation of an expression for the mean acquisition time of a multiple dwell serial acquisition. Matrix transformation technique is used in derivation procedure, which is simpler than signal flow graph technique. In addition, a practical example of the calculation of the mean acquisition time is included for single, double, and triple dwell serial acquisition synchronization systems. |
