| Abstract: |
| First,configurations of a fuley implemented MMIC receiver are discussed. Developed MMICs are low poise amplifers,image rejection mixers with wideband phase shift network, voltage-controlled oscillators, analog frequency dividers and frequency doublers. Thesc MMICs constitute an image rejection frequency converter and PLL stabilized local oscillator. A 30 GHz band fully implemented MMIC receiver has been assembled using the developed MMICs. It has been confirmed that they operate properly as constituent elements for a satllite transponder and that the weight of the transponder can be reduced to 1/6 that of the conventional transponders employing hybrid ICs. The MMIC receiver presented here is being installed in transpondes of the ETS-VI satellite that Japan intends to launch in 1992. |
