| Abstract: |
| This paper firstly describes the trend of communication services merging and the new requirement in communication networks. Then on the bases of the present communication networks, points out the evolution trends for communication networks to an IP integrated network. The techniques used in next generation communication networks are described in detail. Their roles and contributions in the process of networks smoothly upgrading are also presented. |
