A pulse accumulation-based ML estimation method for chirp rate of LFM pulse |

Abstract: |
The estimation accuracy of the chirp rate is not high using a single LFM(Linear
Frequency Modulation)
pulse. To solve the problem, a new method is proposed which first estimates the
modulation
waveform based on pulse accumulation and then estimates the chirp rate using the
estimated waveform. This method is proved to be maximum likelihood(ML). Simulat
ion results show that the estimation variance of the chirp rate achieves the Cra
mérRao lower bound(CRLB) under conditions of 10 pulses with SNR(SignaltoN
oise Ratio) of 0 dB using the proposed method. |
