Abstract: |
An aircraft equipped with CMU(Communication Management Unit) and VHF transceiver can transmit and/or rec
eive messages via ACARS(Aircraft Communication Addressing and Reporting System) air/ground networks. In this paper, architecture of VHF ACARS airborne
system is analysed. Service functional capabilities and application functional c
apabilities of CMU that provides ACARS datalink services are summarized. CMU is
expected to be capable of supporting VDR Interface/Protocol and adapt to onboar
d system and flight deck systems.Software framework of CMU embedded with ACARS
protocol is proposed. |
