| This paper gives a comprehensive discussion about the development and design of broadband satellite communication system,analyses its issues,and explains its tradeoffs.It presents a suitable architecture of broadband satellite communication network and investigates the design options of satellite constellation.It also discusses and analyses some critical technologies and challenges in satellite system,and finally forecasts the prospects of future broadband satellite communication system. |
