Abstract: |
Irregular repeat accumulate (IRA) codes have natural liner-time encoding and decoding algorithms. Its performance is very close to Shannon limit. This paper presents IRA schemes using bit interleaving coded modulation (BIRACM)which can increase the spectral efficiency, and simulates BIRACM on AWGN and Rayleigh channel. Simulation results show that the performance of BIRACM outperforms traditional trellis-coded modulation (TCM) and BICM. |
